cheating on the estimation, expecially the packing services - Laura - Today
I used the company for a coast to coast moving. That included moving and full packing. I did shopping around quite bit before I decided to use this one (Mayflower at Giguere Ct, San jose, CA). The moving price was very competitive, which is understandable under current economic shadow. Two people came for the estimation. One did actual estimation, and another one was a manager who just sit there talking. The estimation was 3k lbs, which was 5k lbs short of actual weight. It was okay, since the quote was $0.04 per lb. The biggest surprise was from the packing estimation, which, I shall say, no estimation at all. The guy said the packing was about $2500, which was a LIE!! It cost mor than $1000 for the kitchen alone. The total packing tag was over $7000. So, if you are considering packing, do it yourself, and dont even bother with their so-called estimation.
